HomeCaring’s services

Losing your independence can feel like you’re losing your freedom, and we work hard to help clients feel like they’ve got it back. Whether that means we take care of your basic day-to-day needs – such as gardening or preparing your meals for you, or providing more in-depth domestic care; we have experience in handling everything.
Our services are broken up into different packages based on the needs of individual clients. Level 1 Home Care Services will only cover the basic needs, leaving most of the tasks to you. On the other side of the scale, our Level 4 package is for those who are a lot more dependent on others caring for them. We take care of everyday needs, as well as anything else that needs to be handled around the home. Typically this option is for members who are experiencing more serious conditions.

Are these packages expensive?

It’s important to us that those in need can afford the care they require, so you can be sure that your package isn’t going to be too expensive. Not only that but as we’re an NDIS provider, our services are subsidized by the government. The higher the level of care, the more that’s covered for you.
As our packages are mostly covered for you, you can be sure that your care is our top priority, and is provided by an experienced and diverse team with a range of skills. Some of our members are multilingual, ready to work with clients of all backgrounds, and have years of experience in working with all kinds of situations. It’s easy for us to provide a service tailored to fit you, and your needs won’t go unmet!
To make sure you get the service you’re looking for, you can even choose the carer you feel most comfortable with, and work together with them to create a plan that best fits your living situation.

How can you apply?

While it’s not as simple as signing up on our website and getting started, there are a few steps you have to follow to get the ball rolling. Before we can provide our care to you, you’ll need to make sure you and your home have been approved for home care.

Apply for an assessment

Before you can apply for a Home Care Package, you need to have your home assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). You can find out more about applying here. If you need help with this, it’s recommended that you do this with a loved one.

Await assessment

Once you apply for your assessment with ACAT, they’ll get in touch and arrange everything. Once they’ve come to your home and assessed your situation, you can move on to the next step. The ACAT will talk you through different levels of care and likely help you decide on which you may need. If you’re in need of disability care in Telopea, it might be best to have a loved one with you during the assessment.

Wait for your approval letter

After your assessment has been completed, you’ll need to wait for your letter of approval to arrive from the ACAT. This letter will contain the details of the level of care you have been assigned, as well as confirmation that you’re on a waiting list to receive a Home Care Package. Once it’s your turn on the waiting list, your home will be approved for Home Care.

Happy Friday HC fam!

It’s been a busy and productive week here at Home Caring with only forty days till the end of the year we are full steam ahead! One highlight was the team-building and networking session with our amazing Home Caring Bankstown team. The workshop was a huge success bringing everyone together to learn, grow and strengthen our skills.

These sessions are such a valuable part of what we do as they foster connection, build efficiency and empower us to deliver the best care to our clients. As we all know being a support worker can sometimes feel isolating but moments like these remind us of the incredible community we’re all a part of.

Let’s all carry that energy into the weekend—it’s going to be a hot one, so stay cool and take care! 🩵

Happy Sunday HC fam! Recently our Home Caring Vermont team had the privilege of attending the 20th anniversary celebration of Hope City Mission, a vital organisation making a profound difference in our community. As proud sponsors we deeply admire their unwavering dedication to providing food relief, support and hope to those in need. Hope City Mission’s initiatives extend far and wide from their compassionate crisis support programs to sustainable efforts like planting seedlings, whose produce directly benefits people facing hardship. It’s a joy to stand beside them in their mission to uplift lives and foster resilience.

Our sponsorship reflects Home Caring’s core value of giving without expecting anything in return. We’re thrilled to have contributed to initiatives like installing a sprinkler system to nurture their community garden, where fresh produce is grown for those living in crisis. Supporting Hope City Mission means investing in kindness, growth and care and we couldn’t be prouder to play a part in their incredible journey. Here’s to creating positive change together! 🩵
